TEAM SUPPORTERS CLUB SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
This page lists details and specs regarding the content you must submit for your bundle to ship. This includes the types of content that you must include, where these assets must be located in the submitted zipfile, what their filenames must be, and details about their format.

Please read these requirements carefully and be sure that what you submit conforms to it exactly., and be sure that what you submit conforms to it exactly.

Submissions with incorrect content/format will not be approved.

You must own the rights to all material submitted. Any content zip which contains copyright materials or materials where copyright can not be determined will not be reviewed.

Once a Supporters Club bundle is approved, no additional changes can be made.

You will receive emails regarding the state of your bundle from [email protected]. Please ensure that you add it to your contacts so these emails do not get lost in your junk or spam mail folders.

Do not attempt to send emails to [email protected], as it is a no-reply email.

Player PortraitsRequired

  • All 5 player portraits are required.
  • TEAMS PARTICIPATING IN THE INTERNATIONAL WHO DO NOT PLAN TO SUBMIT FAN BUNDLES ARE STILL REQUIRED TO SUBMIT PLAYER PORTRAITS.
  • Filenames need to match the FriendID of the player
  • File Format: .PNG
  • Dimensions: 1024x1024 Pixels
  • Transparent Background
  • Headshot (Head/Chest only), NOT full-body image
  • Player's face must be fully visible and unobscured
  • Player must be wearing proper attire with no obscene gestures, text or iconography
  • Additional player photography suggestions
  • Player photos must not be edited beyond cropping and standard cleanup operations. Editing pictures to overlay sponsor logos in a way which they would not appear on a jersey will cause rejection of the entire bundle.
  • Content must not contain advertisements or sponsorships which have legal restrictions on their use. This includes gambling, alcohol and similar categories of content.

Graffiti
/sprays/spray[x].png
  • AT LEAST 5 APPROVABLE SPRAYS REQUIRED. Up to 10 sprays may be provided to ensure enough are approved.
  • Valve will select up to 3 sprays. If 3 sprays cannot be accepted, the content bundle will not be approved. We highly recommend submitting as many sprays as possible to maximize the chance of your content shipping.
  • Filenames: spray0.png through spray9.png
  • File Format: .PNG
  • Dimensions: 400x400 pixels
  • Transparent Background
  • Source must be provided in localization file for all provided content and be in English. Failure to do so will result in the entire bundle’s rejection.. The Source must be descriptive and can not just be the team name. It is required that Valve can determine from the Source whether the asset and it's reference are unique to the team or if they reference another IP (Movie, Song, etc) that must be listed. Failure to do so will cause rejection of the bundle.
  • Any text which appears in images must be in the included localization file or content will not be reviewed.
  • Must not contain profanity or text which may be considered offensive.
  • Any copyrighted content will cause your bundle to be rejected. This includes samples taken from anime, movies, TV shows, pop culture, etc.
  • Content that can be used in a toxic fashion by players will not be approved and may cause your content to be rejected (examples: GGEZ, noob, ?, owned, etc.).
  • Derogatory or offensive content will lead to your content being rejected.
  • Sprays must not contain sponsor logos or references to team sponsors.
  • Content must not contain advertisements or sponsorships which have legal restrictions on their use. This includes gambling, alcohol and similar categories of content.
Emoticonuri
/emoticons/emoticon[x].png
  • AT LEAST 5 APPROVABLE EMOTICONS REQUIRED. Up to 10 emoticons may be provided to ensure enough are approved.
  • Valve will select up to 3 emoticons. If 3 emoticons cannot be accepted, the content bundle will not be approved. We highly recommend submitting as many emoticons as possible to maximize the chance of your content shipping.
  • Filenames: emoticon0.png through emoticon9.png
  • File Format: .PNG
  • Dimensions: 32 px height. Width must be a multiple of 32 (e.g: 32, 64, 96, etc)
  • Each frame of the emoticon should be 32x32 pixels arranged horizontally into one png file.
  • Source must be provided in localization file for all provided content and be in English. Failure to do so will result in the entire bundle’s rejection.. The Source must be descriptive and can not just be the team name. It is required that Valve can determine from the Source whether the asset and it's reference are unique to the team or if they reference another IP (Movie, Song, etc) that must be listed. Voice Lines

  • AT LEAST 5 APPROVABLE VOICE LINES REQUIRED. Up to 10 voice lines may be provided to ensure enough are approved.
  • Valve will select up to 3 voice lines. If 3 voice lines cannot be accepted, the content bundle will not be approved. We highly recommend submitting as many voice lines as possible to maximize the chance of your content shipping.
  • Voice lines must be of active roster players or dota personalities only. No fake or modified voices.
  • Filenames: voice0.wav to voice9.wav
  • File Format: .WAV
  • Audio Format: 16-bit 48khz (Mono)
  • Duration: Up to 4 seconds. Voice lines longer than 4 seconds will be automatically rejected.
  • Valve will select up to 3 lines. If there are not 3 approvable lines, the content bundle may not be approved.
  • Must not contain profanity or text which may be considered offensive.
  • Must have text and localization included in the localization file or content will not be reviewed.
  • Must not have artifacts such as pops or distortion.
  • Must not have any Dota sounds.
  • Must not contain screaming, yelling or overly loud noise.
  • Must not contain background music of any kind.
  • Any copyrighted content will cause your bundle to be rejected. This includes samples taken from anime, movies, TV shows, pop culture, etc.
  • Content that can be used in a toxic fashion by players will not be approved and may cause your content to be rejected (examples: GGEZ, noob, ?, owned, etc.).
  • Derogatory or offensive content will lead to your content being rejected.
  • NEW:Content must be related to the team, whether it's authored by its players, personnel associated with the team, or referring explicitly to the team or its players. Unrelated personalities saying lines that aren't related to the team may not be approved.
  • Valve reserves the right to not ship a voice line if it doesn't feel appropriate and correct for the product.
  • Content must not contain advertisements or sponsorships which have legal restrictions on their use. This includes gambling, alcohol and similar categories of content.
  • Source must be provided in localization file for all provided content and be in English. Failure to do so will result in the entire bundle’s rejection.. The Source must be descriptive and can not just be the team name. It is required that Valve can determine from the Source whether the asset and it's reference are unique to the team or if they reference another IP (Movie, Song, etc) that must be listed. Failure to do so will cause rejection of the bundle.

Wallpapers
/wallpapers/wallpaper[x].png
  • 2 APPROVABLE WALLPAPERS REQUIRED. Only 2 Wallpapers may be submitted.
  • If both wallpapers cannot be accepted, the content bundle will not be approved.
  • Filenames: wallpaper0.png through wallpaper1.png
  • File Format: .PNG
  • Dimensions: 1920x1080 Pixels
  • Must have text and localization included in the localization file or content will not be reviewed
  • Any copyrighted content will cause your bundle to be rejected. This includes samples taken from anime, movies, TV shows, pop culture, etc.
  • Derogatory or offensive content will lead to your content being rejected.
  • Wallpapers must not contain sponsor logos or references to team sponsors.
  • Wallpapers must have some reference to the team. Generic Dota Art without at least the team logo attached to it might be rejected.
  • Content must not contain advertisements or sponsorships which have legal restrictions on their use. This includes gambling, alcohol and similar categories of content.
Localization and Source InformationRequired for Emoticons, Sprays, Wallpapers and Voice.

  • REQUIRED FOR EMOTICONS, SPRAYS, WALLPAPERS AND VOICE.
  • IF LOCALIZATION AND SOURCES ARE NOT FILLED OUT PROPERLY, THE BUNDLE WILL NOT BE APPROVED.
  • INCORRECT OR MISSING NATIVE LANGUAGE TEXT OR LOCALIZATION FOR ANY ASSET WHICH CONTAINS TEXT OR VOICE WILL CAUSE THE BUNDLE TO BE REJECTED.
  • You must own the rights to all material submitted. Any content which contains copyrighted materials or materials where copyright cannot be determined will be rejected.
  • File Format: .CSV
  • Character Encoding: UTF-8
    • Google Drive's Sheets will properly export a valid UTF8 CSV via the Download -> 'Comma-separated Values' option.
    • If saving from Excel, choose the option 'CSV UTF-8 (Comma Delimited)'
  • The sheet should have 5 columns for each file, IN THIS EXACT ORDER:
    • Filename (example: /voice/voice1.wav)
    • Language
    • Original language text
    • English translation of text
    • Source of asset (see below)
  • Contents of the file should have no header row
  • If assets do not contain any text or voice, leave the 'language', 'original language text', 'english version of text' fields blank.
  • If the original language is English, you MUST provide the english text in both the 'original language text' and 'english version of text' fields.
  • File should contain one line for EACH voiceline, wallpaper, emoticon and spray.
  • For the source of asset column, provide the name of the asset’s creator and note if you have obtained distribution rights to the asset.

  • Bundles will be rejected if Valve is unable to determine that you have the right to distribute the content being provided. Any references to non Valve IP (movies, songs, etc) may cause the bundle to be rejected.
  • Failure to provide accurate and descriptive source information will cause the content to be rejected.
