Author's Ability Notes

Great harassing tool, do not bother over doing at level 1 the damage is not fantastic once you hit level 2 in this then you can start trying for kills. As the enemy goes for last hits try to get behind them and keep laying on the fire.
Huskars signature skill, the less health you have the more damage you do. Try to stay around 40% health in lane you can surprise the enemy with the amount of fire spear stacks you can apply when they try to last hit. With 7.20 this ability now grants regen based on strength, essentially turning you into a more badass alch. We target strength items to boost this regen and keep you in lane.
Life break is a double edged sword. Do not get over excited and force yourself into a bad position. It works especially well on strength heros like timber, tiny and pudge to take a huge chunk of their health. Remember to be smart and jump around the fight, skip past their carry to decimate the supports on the back line and let your team lock down the enemy carry. After level 20 use this to jump impassable terrain too.
Now this is a strange one, it does provide Huskar a bit more utility and some survivability. A definite value point early on but skill as required depending on your role in the game. If enemy team has lots of physical gankers, PA/Slark/ember then earlier levelling of this works well to stop them killing you and your team.
+{s:bonus_burn_damage} Burning Spear Burn Damage : MAGIC DAMAGE BUILD: If taking the magic damage route then this talent is one to choose, this is your bread and butter might aswell get the most out of it as possible. Stacked with your VoD and radiance you can dish out some terrifying DoT.
+{s:bonus_tooltip_health_damage}% Life Break Damage : Both talents are situationally strong, if you are going for a brawling build then having the extra range to initiate is helpful. If the enemy already have a spirit vessel then the extra regen from BB will be reduced subtantially. Take either talent depending on the situation.
+{s:value}% Lifesteal : If you are going a heavy physcial orientated build then the lifesteal is the option to take. Right click your burning spears and bring the fire! Lifesteal helps to regenerate the health lost from throwing the fire spears so no need to worry.
+{s:bonus_disarm_duration}s Inner Fire Duration : I am not sure about this talent, something makes me feel a bit dissapointed. IV has pretty long duration, and huskar has limited mana pool anyway so i would generally not take this talent.
+{s:bonus_duration}s Burning Spear Duration : YAY! Rubbish lvl25 talent got made good! Get the most out of your burning spears and go for this talent. Huskar generally plays up close and personal anway so further attack range not always necessary. Plus the pure damage with the earlier talent to increase fire spears means this pure damage will EAT people late game, great against high armour heroes like axe and timber.
+{s:bonus_maximum_health_regen}% Berserker's Blood Regen : Both talents are situationally strong, the extra regen from your passive will help to keep you alive. If the enemy already have a spirit vessel then the extra regen from BB will be reduced subtantially. Take either talent depending on the situation.

Author's Item Notes

Starting Items

Try and get two pooled tangos but if no one is helping then buy your own.
Build into two early bracers for strength and magic resist. Get as many bracers and circlets as you can afford

BUild up

2x bracers i think is good the stats and health regen will help to keep you alive. If following magic build then swap one bracer for a crown.
Armlet is the one item that you must always get on huskar. get the most out of beserkers blood by draining your health low and effective toggling to prevent death.
Treads provide attack speed when you are at full health and also give you more strength to improve your regen from BB. Tread switching can help get you enough mana for an inner fire or a tp in a pinch. Always get full boots, you can sell them to add 725 gold towards your guard greaves later on but they are good for early game dominance.
Add some stats and also provides a burst heal in tough situations. Try to toggle armlet off at low health then use wand and then toggle armlet back on to maximise the health gain.
Always carry one of these, if any of your other lanes get ganked or tower dive'd then you can tp on top of the enemy and net some easy kills.
MAGICAL BUILD: If going magic damage then swap out one bracer for crown. This builds into your VoD

Choice of these (lifesteal or magic)

MAGIC DAMAGE BUILD: Provides decent stats for huskar and armour while also boosting the effectiveness of your magic damage orientated build. When initiating cast this during your ulti so it amps as you land.
LIFESTEAL BUILD: Casual morbid mask to start stacking lifesteal

lifesteal build

BOOST LIFESTEAL. The disarm and evasion that HH give are very useful for huskar, if you are against an SF or PA or Ursa then this is the item to go. The stats are also good for huskar along with the maim effect to allow easier chasing.
Taking back advice on previous iterations of this guide I now think BKB is a core item on huskar. It is too easy to be chain stunned and nuked down now you lack the magic resistance so get a BKB and continue to lay waste to anyone who stands in front of you.
If you are against an evasion carry like PA the true strike and guaranteed crit are amazing. Also fuels the damage done by lifebreak and fire spears. Great ganking tool for those pesky blink heroes and morph.
Great item to build into with the new BB talent at level 20. This will help to send your regen through the roof making you very hard to kill.
If you are making good timing on your items then stick with brown boots and go straight to BoTs so you can keep up with your team
insane lifesteal can get you back to full health with your insane attack speed at low life.

Magic Damage Build

if you find yourself dominating the early game and you have your core items by 15/18mins it can be worth going radiance. The AoE miss chance and strong damage are all good for huskar. Only get this if you have a late game orientated team and you know you cannot finish early.
Greaves are expensive but the armour, purge and low health buffs synergise nicely with Huskars kit. The synergy with your new BB means you have extremely high armour and health regen at below 20% health, turning you into an unkillable frenzy of fire spears. Sell your treads to provide 725 gold towards them.
Provides good survivability and provides good utility, the magic damage synergises with your veil.
Good stats and further amplification for our magic damage build

Situational additions

Great for pesky regen heroes like Alch or slark or necro. Makes sure your burning spears will overpower any regen they might have. Also provides another source of healing to keep your team topped up. Take this if you are offlane.
Increase you armour, decrease their armour and increase your attack speed. Great for a more physical orientated build.
As the enemy lay on the damage to try and overcome your lifesteal and regen you can dish back some of that damage and further increase your kill potential.
With the new taunt mechanic aghs combines nicely with your blademail. Jump on the enemy similar to a LC or clock you activate blademail and let them kill themselves. Once bought get the blessing to free up a slot.

Neutral items

Great for your magic damage build
While there are a lot of good neutral items this is insanely strong on huskar!

Other Items

Can be built into either phase boots or armlet later. Especially helpful as huskar has pretty low damage at the start.
A bit of extra damage and a small burst heal are both extremely useful for mid lane. The burst heal can be the difference between a kill or a death!
Purchase these as and when you need them at the start of the laning phase. At the end of the day the longer your in lane last hitting and denying the better!
I generally go PT, however the ability for a burst of speed and to run through creep waves is invaluable in ganking and escaping. The extra damage is great for huskar so if you have a need for speed this option can do.
Provides a nice aura to support your team in teamfights, as well as armour to help keep you alive in lane.
If you feel your supports or roamers are not going to buy this then get one, the stats are good and the sustain is valuable for your team. Plus the new Spirit vessel is a good extention item.
natural progression from dragon lance, good for survivability and added gank effectiveness. Huskars best combo is to ulti into the enemy back line, then follow up with hurrican pike to get back to safety while hammering away at the supports and procing loads of lightening.
I generally prefer bloodthorn to daedalus but if your miles ahead and already have a bloodthorn on a teammate then maybe daedalus could be better
LIFESTEAL BUILD: This is great to increase huskars range and allow you to get more harassment in. The stats are great to provide huskar some more health and damage too.
Tank up and slow MS and AS even through bkb, a strong anti-carry item
Can be good to deal with medusa and wraith king
Build this if your going for physical dps, the aura is good for the team and provides decent stats. Huskar is slow! so a little speed boost is always good
Added survivability and also strong as a ganking tool. Great for countering evasion heroes too.
Abyssal can work well for huskar, ulti into the stun range and then unleash 2 seconds of fire spears while they are stunned and as the disable ends hurricane yourself away and get another 4 attacks for free. This should be enough to seriously damage if not kill most enemies outright.
Can help initiate on evasion carries
good stats for huskar and the active ability stops carrys from using their bkbs or manta so strong in conjunction with bloodthorn to kill heroes like qop/am
further enhance your attack speed plus grant you some extra damage and chance to deal true strike.
I feel this item is great for huskar. Your insane attack speed at low health will mean loads of procs and as such loads of magic dmg. Also great with pierce evasion! SKIP IF GOING RADIANCE. If trying for radiance and your timings slow down then this makes a fine alternative.
If on the offlane you can fulfill and great utility role for your team, providing a good source of healing and using CG or Pipe to provide resistance. With CG, Greaves and Holy Locket you can turn yourself into a fantastic tank soaking up ridiculous amounts of damage.
Stacking the magic resist from pipe, locket and any left over braces makes you very difficult to kill for a magic orientated line up.
Good armour and stats plus a burst heal for you and your team to provide utility. Try to toggle armlet off then use mek where safe to get the most out of the heal. Build into greaves later.
Always worth taking a charge of this
If no one else is digging you better dig buddy
Good for lifesteal build
Good if you are following the physical orientated life steal build
Always a good item on huskar, helps free up slots for all builds
Fantastic item for huskar to help reduce lock down
useful on all builds
good item for huskar to help keep you from being locked down
Great for the physical lifesteal build
As huskar you are going to be targeted by all the enemies single target spells to try and stop you wrecking everyone. Use this to become anti mage every 8 seconds!
